Miss Black Staten Island Is a subsidiary of Kaleidoscope Mode Inc., Which is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Miss Black Staten Island and Miss Black Richmond County celebrates the revival of this legendary pageant which was founded by the Staten Island Urban League beginning in 1971. Our pageant highlights and exposes exceptional young women of color that have unfortunately gone unnoticed for far too long. We promote a strong emphasis in continual learning in higher education to instill lifelong experiences of empowerment, success, and qualitative leadership. Our contestants showcase their talent by performing monologues, dance routines and musical talent to just name a few.
